This Privacy Policy explains how Young Researchers Institute LLC, doing business as YRI Fellowship ("YRI", "we", "us"), collects, uses, shares and protects personal information when you visit yriscience.com, submit an interest form or application, enroll in our programs, or communicate with us by email, phone or text message.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us: student and parent or guardian names, email addresses, phone numbers, school, grade, country and time zone, research interests, application answers, financial aid information, and anything you send us.
Payment information: payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers.
Usage information: pages visited, device and browser data, and the ad or link that brought you to our site, collected through cookies and similar technologies, including Meta Pixel and Google Ads tags.

2. How we use information

To review applications, make admission and scholarship decisions, and run our programs.
To communicate with you about your application, enrollment, scheduled calls, payments and program updates.
To send information about our programs and offers, which you can opt out of at any time.
To process payments, prevent fraud, and meet legal obligations.
To measure and improve our website and advertising.

3. Text messages (SMS)

If you check the text message consent box on our interest form or application, we may send text messages to the phone number you provided about your application, enrollment deadlines and offers, scheduled calls, and program updates. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of enrollment or purchase.

You can opt out at any time by replying STOP. Reply HELP for help, or contact us at support@yriscience.com.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. Information may be shared with subcontractors that help us provide our services, such as our messaging provider, solely to deliver the messages you requested.

4. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us operate (for example payment processing, email and SMS delivery, hosting, scheduling and analytics), with your assigned mentor as needed to run the program, when required by law, or with your consent.

5. Students under 18

Our programs are for students 13 and older. Students under 18 apply and participate with the involvement and consent of a parent or guardian, and we collect parent or guardian contact details for that purpose.

6. Your choices

Unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any email.
Stop text messages by replying STOP.
Ask us to access, correct or delete your information by emailing support@yriscience.com.

7. Security and retention

We use industry-standard safeguards to protect personal information and keep it only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.
